BIOGRAPHIES
Alee Peoples a une pratique artistique variée qui comprend la sérigraphie, la couture, la sculpture et le cinéma. Vivant actuellement à Los Angeles, elle a enseigné à des classes de jeunes au Echo Park Film Center et a présenté ses sculptures et ses films au GAIT, au 4th Wall et à elephant. Peoples a présenté ses films dans de nombreux festivals, notamment Edinburgh, Images (Toronto) et New York Film Festival, ainsi que dans des musées et des espaces tels que SFMoMA, Brooklyn Museum of Art, le Centre Pompidou, Dirt Palace (Providence) et The Nightingale (Chicago). Lancé en 2022, Arroyo Seco Cine Club est une série de films programmés par thème qu’elle coorganise avec Mike Stoltz. Elle s’inspire de l’histoire des piétons, des paroles de chansons pop et s’investit dans le fait-main.

BIOGRAPHIES
Alee Peoples maintains a varied artistic practice that involves screen-printing, sewing, sculpture and film. Currently living in Los Angeles, she has taught youth classes at Echo Park Film Center and shown her sculpture and film work at GAIT, 4th Wall and elephant. Peoples has shown her films at numerous festivals including Edinburgh, Images (Toronto) and New York Film Festival, and at museums and spaces including SFMoMA, Brooklyn Museum of Art, The Pompidou Center, Dirt Palace (Providence) and The Nightingale (Chicago). Started in 2022, Arroyo Seco Cine Club is a thematically programmed film series she co-curates with Mike Stoltz. She is inspired by pedestrian histories, pop song lyrics and invested in the hand-made.
