BIOGRAPHIES
Émilie Payeur vit et travaille à Montréal, Canada. Elle est une artiste interdisciplinaire dont les œuvres prennent souvent la forme d’installations et est aussi musicienne expérimentale et compositrice. Elle est titulaire d’un diplôme de maîtrise en composition de musique électroacoustique de l’Université de Montréal, sous la supervision de Robert Normandeau.
Cinéaste expérimental, artiste vidéo et commissaire indépendant, Guillaume Vallée est diplômé de l’Université Concordia en cinéma d’animation et titulaire d’un MFA in Studio Arts – Film Production. Il s’intéresse à toutes formes alternatives de l’image en mouvement. Son travail fait usage de différentes techniques techno-artisanales en explorant la matérialité médiatique par des interventions directes, des manipulations optiques et de la distorsion analogique dans le but de créer des œuvres hybrides et élargies. Il travaille principalement en Super8, 16mm et VHS.
Véro Marengère est une artiste audiovisuelle qui vit et travaille à Montréal/Tiohtià:ke. Évoluant entre l’art vidéo et la modélisation 3D, la performance audiovisuelle et la musique expérimentale, sa pratique s’intéresse aux formes hybrides d’Êtres et à la relation que nous entretenons avec l’aspect virtuel de la vie. Le processus de Marengère est ouvert à toutes les étapes, guidé par l’intuition et l’invocation. Cette approche lui permet de dissimuler des significations plus profondes sous une apparente naïveté esthétique.
Automatisme est le projet de musique électronique du producteur William Jourdain, basé à Saint-Hyacinthe, au Québec. Depuis 2013, il publie sous ce pseudonyme une série d’albums et de pièces remarquables, explorant diverses intersections entre le drone, le glitch, le dub techno, l’ambient, l’électroacoustique et le noise.

BIOGRAPHIES
Émilie Payeur lives and works in Montreal, Canada. She is an interdisciplinary artist whose works often take the form of installations and is also an experimental musician and composer. She holds a master’s degree in electroacoustic music composition from the University of Montreal, under the supervision of Robert Normandeau.
Experimental filmmaker, video artist and independent curator, Guillaume Vallée graduated from Concordia University with a Major in Film Animation and MFA in Studio Arts – Film Production option. He’s interested in alternative forms of moving images in analogue forms as a way of considering the direct interaction between different mediums. His work is an exploration of materiality within the creative process. In attempts of creating a more complex relationship with his subject matter, Vallée makes use of cross-medium forms that range from camera-less techniques to optical effects, glitch, video feedback, resulting in expended & hybrid pieces. He works mainly on Super8, 16mm and VHS.
Véro Marengère, an audiovisual artist residing and working in Montréal/Tiohtià:ke, traverses the realms of video art, 3D modeling, audiovisual performance, and experimental music. Her artistic exploration revolves around the interplay of hybrid forms of existence and our connection with the virtual dimensions of life. Marengère’s creative process is boundlessly open, driven by intuition and invocation, allowing her to imbue profound meanings beneath a veneer of aesthetic naïveté.
Automatisme is the electronic music project of Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec-based producer William Jourdain, who has since 2013 released a brilliant series of albums and tracks under this moniker, exploring various intersections of drone, glitch, dub techno, ambient, electro-acoustic and noise. Starting with site-specific field recordings, Automatisme samples, processes, signal bends and transforms this source material into soundscapes charting a broad spectrum spanning minimalist pulse, methodically additive beat, stacked-tone maximalism, spatial drone and arrhythmic ambient/noise.
