BIOGRAPHIES
Asha Tamirisa (elle) est une artiste et chercheuse dont le travail couvre la performance sonore improvisée, l’image en mouvement et les installations multimédias, ainsi que la conception sonore. En tant qu’interprète, Tamirisa utilise des technologies numériques interactives, des synthétiseurs modulaires analogiques et des instruments acoustiques au sein de systèmes hybrides.
Ses œuvres en image en mouvement et ses installations multimédias interrogent les conditions et les politiques de la métaphore, de la mémoire et de ce qui est souvent négligé.

Mili Hong (elle) est une batteuse spécialisée dans le jazz et les pratiques expérimentales, tant en solo qu’au sein de groupes. Elle se produit actuellement avec Bellbird et Erika Angell. Elle a commencé la batterie à l’âge de 16 ans. Elle a passé la majeure partie de sa vie en Corée du Sud jusqu’au début de la vingtaine, avant de s’installer à Vancouver, au Canada, pour y étudier l’anglais et la musique.
Bien qu’elle ait initialement prévu de retourner en Corée après ses études, elle a choisi de rester à Vancouver afin d’expérimenter et d’explorer sa nouvelle vie au sein de la scène musicale florissante et diversifiée du Canada. À l’Université Capilano, elle a obtenu un baccalauréat en musique (Jazz Studies), avec une spécialisation en interprétation instrumentale, et a joué dans de nombreux ensembles, des petits combos aux big bands, ce qui lui a offert de nombreuses occasions d’explorer et d’étudier différents styles de batterie.

Her moving image and multimedia works engage the conditions and politics of metaphors, memory, and the overlooked.
Mili Hong (she/her) is a drummer who specializes in Jazz and Experimental playing, both solo, and in groups. She currently performs with Bellbird and Erika Angell. She began playing drums at the age of 16. She spent most of her life in South Korea until her early 20s when she moved to Vancouver, Canada to study English and Music. Although she originally planned to move back to Korea after completing her studies, she decided to remain in Vancouver to experiment and explore her new life in Canada’s thriving and diverse music scene. At Capilano University she received a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Studies, majoring in Instrumental Performance and played in various ensembles from small combos to big bands which exposed her to numerous chances to explore and study different styles of drumming.
