• “She Falls for Ages” (21 min)
This sci-fi retelling of the Haudenosaunee (Iroquois) creation story reimagines Sky World as a futuristic, utopic space and Sky Woman as a brave astronaut and world-builder. It begins on an ancient, alien world whose culture centres on the care and reverence for the beautiful, energy-producing Celestial Tree. The central figure of the tale is Otsitsakaion, a telepath. When she learns that her world is dying, she knows what must be done; she must become the seed of the new world. Using the new media technique known as machinima, “She Falls For Ages” boldly mixes Haudenosaunee storytelling with science fiction to connect the deep past and the far future.

• “The Peacemaker Returns” (19 min)
The Peacemaker Returns takes place in the far future, when the entire Earth has become a confederation of countries who truly recognize that we share one planet; that one person’s religion, language, sexuality need not interfere with another’s; and that peace is not just the absence of war, it is the eradication of injustice as well. Now Earth has a new challenge, and Iotetshèn:’en, a young Mohawk woman, is travelling through space along with four other diplomats to a momentous rendez-vous.

• “Words Before All Else” (3 min)
Parts 1, 2 and 3
Words Before All Else Parts 1, 2, & 3 is the beginning of Skawennati’s latest, ongoing machinima series, in which her avatar, xox, recites, in Kanien’kéha, français, and English, the Ohen:ton Karihwatehkwen, also known as the Thanksgiving Address, an ancient Haudenosaunee oration in which all the natural world is thanked. What does it mean to give thanks in a virtual world?
