Avec une formation en film expérimental analogique, Charlotte Clermont explore les dimensions temporelles de la manière dont le corps façonne, préserve et crée ce que nous percevons comme la réalité, en utilisant le film, le son et le texte. S’appuyant sur des matériaux issus de son environnement immédiat, elle travaille sur la sensibilité chimique du film à travers diverses altérations, tout en laissant une large place au hasard. Son travail développe généralement un métalangage inhérent, autonome et codé symboliquement. Originaire du Canada, elle est actuellement basée à Helsinki après avoir complété son master en Temps et Espace à l’Académie des Beaux-Arts de l’Université des Arts d’Helsinki. Son film le plus récent, du soleil, que ça existe, a été nominé par le Nordic and Baltic Young Artist Award (2024) et est sélectionné pour ses prochaines expositions personnelles à Filmverkstaden (Vaasa, 2025) et à la Galerie Hippolyte (Helsinki, 2026). Elian Mikkola est un-e artiste finlandais-e de l’image en mouvement (d’origine carélienne) et un-e colon-e blanc-he, actuellement basé-e entre le territoire du Traité 4, à Regina, et Montréal (Tiohtià:ke), au Canada. Originaire de Turku, en Finlande, Mikkola détient un baccalauréat en journalisme de l’Université de Tampere. Iel a complété sa maîtrise en production médiatique en 2019 à l’Université de Regina. Mikkola travaille étroitement avec des supports à la fois analogiques et numériques et explore des thèmes tels que la mémoire, les dépendances spatiales et l’appartenance queer. Iel mène également des recherches approfondies dans le domaine du film éco-procédé depuis 2017. Le travail expérimental de Mikkola a été présenté dans plusieurs festivals de cinéma au Canada et à l’international, notamment au Festival international du film de Rotterdam, au Festival international du film de Hong Kong, à Oberhausen, et dans le top dix canadien du TIFF. Mikkola a également présenté son travail de cinéma étendu à l’international dans divers environnements d’exposition. Mikkola est actuellement membre du conseil d’administration du WNDX Festival of Moving Image.
Émilie Payeur vit et travaille à Montréal, Canada. Elle est une artiste interdisciplinaire dont les œuvres prennent souvent la forme d’installations et est aussi musicienne expérimentale et compositrice. Elle est titulaire d’un diplôme de maîtrise en composition de musique électroacoustique de l’Université de Montréal, sous la supervision de Robert Normandeau. Elle a présenté son travail dans divers lieux dont Eisode (Mtl), OBORO (Mtl), Titanik (Finlande), Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía (Espagne), Shiro Oni (Japon), Nagi (Bali)et dans divers festivals tels que FIKA(S)(Mtl), Akousma (Mtl), Sight and Sound (Mtl), Ok là (Mtl), FIMAV (Victoriaville), Radical dB (Espagne) Vidéos Femmes dans le parc (Mtl), WUFF (Winnipeg) et Festival l’Oeil d’Oodaaq (France). Son travail a notamment été récompensé par le prix Robert Fleming (Conseil des arts du Canada), la « bourse de création en nouveaux média d’OBORO » (Mtl) et par les Concours internationaux de musique de Bourges (France). On peut/on a pu l’entendre au sein des formations Dead Squirrels, Moshi Moshi et Pinkki Pilvi, Projet K, Dokter Gigi et l’ensemble de gamelan Giri Kedaton ainsi que dans le cadre d’autres collaborations (Ensemble SuperMusique, œuvres de Nour Symon). Sa musique a été publiée sous différentes étiquettes telles que Kohlenstoff Records (Mtl), Jeunesse Cosmique (Mtl), Rara Avis (Mtl), Mikroclimat (Mtl), Paitapes (Finlande) et Takkeherrie Recordings (Pays-Bas).

With a background in analogue experimental film, Charlotte Clermont explores the temporal dimensions of how the body shapes, preserves, and creates what we perceive as reality, using film, sound and text. Drawing on materials from her immediate environment, she works upon the chemical sensitivity of film through various alterations, while leaving a large place to chance. Her work generally develops an inherent, autonomous, and symbolically encoded metalanguage. Originally from Canada, she is currently based in Helsinki after completing her master’s degree in Time and Space from Academy of Fine Arts of the University of the Arts Helsinki. Her most recent film du soleil, que ça existe, has been nominated by Nordic and Baltic Young Artist Award (2024) and is selected for upcoming solo exhibitions at Filmverkstaden (Vaasa, 2025), and Gallery Hippolyte (Helsinki, 2026). Elian Mikkola is a Finnish Moving Image Artist (of Karelian descent), and a white settler currently based between Treaty 4, Regina, and Montréal (Tiohtià:ke), Canada. Originally from Turku, Finland, Mikkola holds a BA in Journalism from Tampere University. They completed their MFA in Media Production in 2019 at the University of Regina. Mikkola works closely with both analogue and digital mediums and explores themes such as memory, spatial dependencies and queer belonging. They’ve done extensive research in the field of eco-processed film since 2017. Mikkola’s experimental work has been showcased at several film festivals in Canada and internationally, including the International Film Festival Rotterdam, Hong Kong International Film Festival, Oberhausen, and TIFF’s Canada’s Top Ten. Mikkola has also showcased their Expanded Cinema work internationally in diverse exhibition environments. Mikkola is a current board member of the WNDX Festival of Moving Image.

Her music has been released under different labels such as Kohlenstoff Records (Mtl), Jeunesse Cosmique (Mtl), Rara Avis (Mtl), Mikroclimat (Mtl), Paitapes (Finland) and Takkeherrie Recordings (Netherlands).
